AMBUSH SWING A THREE-TEAM DEAL

St. Charles, Missouri (October 30, 2024) – The St. Louis Ambush have completed a deal involving the Empire Strykers and Harrisburg Heat, the teams announced today. The swap involved draft picks and cash considerations, but ultimately ended up with the Ambush re-acquiring veteran defender Jeff Michaud, who they promptly signed to a three-year contract.

Here are the details:

To the Harrisburg Heat :

The number one overall pick in the 2024 MASL Pro Combine Draft.

To the St. Louis Ambush:

The number two overall pick in the 2024 MASL Pro Combine Draft and the rights to Michaud.

To the Empire Strykers :

The number four overall pick in the 2024 MASL Pro Combine Draft, St. Louis’ number one pick in the 2025 draft, cash considerations from St. Louis and cash considerations from Harrisburg.

The 2024-25 season will be Michaud’s fourth in the MASL and his third with the Ambush. He previously played for St. Louis during the 2021-22 season. He also played with the Baltimore Blast and Orlando SeaWolves. In 34 career MASL games, Michaud tallied 16 goals, 16 assists and blocked 43 opposing shots.

Michaud has also played outdoor soccer with the Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL), Wilmington Hammerheads (USL), South Florida Surf (USL, League Two), Miami FC (USL Championship) and Forward Madison FC (NPSL).

Ambush co-owner, General Manager and Head Coach Jeff Locker said, “Along with the other moves we’ve made during the off-season, we feel the acquisition of a solid, experienced defender like Jeff will strengthen our team and we look forward to his contributions the next three seasons.”
