DONNIE ALBERTY NAMED GM FOR AMBUSH SOCCER CLUBS

St. Charles, Missouri (March 4, 2025) – Donnie Alberty has assumed the position of General Manager for all three clubs in the St. Louis Ambush family, the organization announced today. Alberty will serve as GM for the St. Louis Ambush team in the Major Arena Soccer League, the Ambush 2 team in the Major Arena Soccer League 2 and the new Ambush FC team that kicks off its inaugural season in USL League Two this summer.

Alberty joined the Ambush as an Assistant Coach in November, 2020 and added the role of Director of Scouting in January, 2023. Last season, he served as head coach for the Ambush 2. He will continue in his rolls as Assistant Coach for the Ambush and as Director of Scouting.

Alberty has over 25 years’ coaching experience. He served as Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at Fontbonne University and spent two seasons and head men’s soccer coach at St. Charles Community College. In addition to his coaching role, Coach Alberty is a member of the Fontbonne University Mental Health Awareness Committee and is the Director of Compliance.

Coach Alberty has coached with numerous clubs in the St. Louis area and holds a USSF License. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Missouri Baptist University. He resides in St. Peters with his wife Tammy and children, Bryce and Abby.

Helping launch the M2 and USL2 teams has been a privilege, and while they’re still in their early stages, they will play a vital role in developing players and coaches. Our ultimate goal is a Ron Newman Cup, but we’ve built a true pathway for growth. This next step in my career excites me, and I’m eager for what’s ahead."

The Ambush are back in action at home for a pair of games this weekend. On Friday, March 7, they welcome the San Diego Sockers to The Family Arena for a 7:05 p.m. CST first kick. On Sunday, March 9, the Milwaukee Wave come to town for a 2:05 p.m. CDT matinee affair.e first 1000 fans in the door will be treated to posters and surprise player bobbleheads.
